The Upstate Design Collective was envisioned as an online community for designers that didn’t live in the big, designy parts of the world. It was to be a place for small town, rural creatives (like me) to post works in progress pat each other on the back.
I know I would still enjoy such a network and online platform dedicated to the folks making great work in the middle of nowhere. But I can’t build it alone, and I’m not sure the world/internet needs another semi-social network.
Well, I know we don’t need one, but I’m not even sure it is a good idea at this point.
So despite the mockups, wireframes, and brainstorming sessions, this project is indefinitely on hold. If you’re also a small town designer and want to revive it, let me know.
