Wisconsin Warmth

So I’m revisiting a trip from warmer times. Last August Jonah and I flew to Wisconsin to join a pretty big portion of our family in what has become an annual gathering. It’s one of the few places that I have visited almost ever year of my life. My mother is a Mielke and grew up not far from Milwaukee. So I still have a lot of family in the area (and the family is growing!). Of course the temperature was warmer there in August than it is there now (or here, in Ithaca) but the people are warm, too. Midwesterners are without a doubt some of the most agreeable people I’ve ever encountered. What follows is a collection of my favorite photos from that trip six months ago. A full collection is on Flickr.
